Built for Every Walk

Shields Leads started with one rescue dog.

Since Sullivan came home from Dogs Trust, I've spent countless hours walking, training and building his confidence. Like a lot of dog owners, I wanted gear that looked good, felt comfortable to use and could cope with everything the British weather, and Sullivan, could throw at it.

After trying plenty of options, I decided to make my own.

Every lead, collar and traffic handle is handmade to order in South Shields using premium waterproof materials and carefully chosen hardware. I keep the designs clean, focus on quality and take the time to build each piece properly. No mass production. No cutting corners.

Sullivan has played a big part in shaping what I make. If a lead is uncomfortable to hold, awkward to use or doesn't stand up to muddy walks, rainy days or even a dip in Kielder Reservoir, it doesn't make the cut.

Shields Leads is a small business, and I'm proud of that. When you order, the person answering your message, making your gear and packing it for dispatch is the same person.
